history, sewing, and other things of interest!

"R" finished another sewing project just in time for our trip to North Carolina! I'll be posting about what we are doing here when I get more time. "S" had a great opportunity to use her cooking to bless a family last week who had lost a loved one. It's so great to see them growing and learning each day!

I also have to add that we are LOVING our history book. We had to wait forever for it to arrive, but it has turned out to be well worth the wait! Its' the Story of the World Vol. 1 by Susan Wise Bauer. Volume 1 begins at the earliest history of mankind to the rise of the Roman Empire. It has been engaging for both the girls and me. We also bought the accompanying activity book and have enjoyed completing the activities and color pages found there. This series is a definite keeper for next school year!!
