Labors of Love

WOW! Has it been that long since I last posted something? It has just been so busy around here. I am approaching the summer season with my business, Delightful Sounds, which is always a really busy time.

Anyway, I wanted to update everyone on our progress with our monthly service projects that we had planned to do this school year. In January, we got together with some other home school friends to make around 50 hand-made Valentine cards. We were able to hand these cards out at a local nursing home in February. The children were able to join the seniors for a portion of the facility's Valentine's party, and they sang a song for them. It was a beautiful experience for the children as well as the adults.

Everyone was so excited about how they were able to minister to the elderly, so in March we decided to do an orientation to become volunteers with VISTE. They are a non-profit organization that provides food and transportation to the elderly in their area. We are hoping to use our April service project to begin working with them.
Have you done any interesting service projects lately? I'd love to get some more ideas!
