Checking in

WOW! I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted last. I naively thought homeschooling might slow my life down. I WAS WRONG! :) The girls have been working on cooking and sewing as an added class activity. R has already made a pillow. She did a great job! This is her first time sewing, and I was impressed with everything she was able to do, except for the way we butted heads. :) I did pray that she would gain greater confidence this school year. LOL

S is working on salads as a beginning topic in cooking. Here she is making a Bing Cherry Salad. I don't usually like jello-type salads, but this one was actually very good! They will each start new projects next week. The days are just flying by, but I think we are finally finding our groove, funky though it may be. I'll be posting more soon about our service project for this month and a few other things!
