Where did you learn that?!?


If you follow this blog, then you already know that we have been studying ancient Egypt in history. Last week we learned about Hatshepsut, the first female Pharaoh of Egypt. She was a peaceful ruler and led many expeditions into Africa to purchase gold, monkeys, and other items from the people there.

As I tested the girls on this section Friday I asked S, "What was Hatshepsut best known for, aside from being the first female Pharaoh?" Without hesitation she responded, "She went shopping in Africa to spend money like any woman should!"
When I finished laughing, I gave her a 100%.
